On the day of the tour, you can observe practices and interactions within the centre environment. You’ll be able to see all the rooms and playgrounds, ask the team members any questions you have in mind, and get all the information you need to make the best decision for your child. Our toddler program encourages curiosity, independence and early social skills as children explore the world with growing confidence. Educators introduce open-ended materials and invitations to explore, such as building, measuring and experimenting. Through shared conversations and investigation, children develop curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Your child will learn about good nutrition to form healthy eating habits.

Flamingo Uniting Kindergarten provides centre-based care for up to 33 approved spaces. To make an informed choice, parents should approach the process with a thorough understanding of what to look for, and which questions to ask. Children can explore expansive outdoor spaces featuring a bike track, sandpit and vegetable garden. These areas give children room to move, ride, dig and grow, with nature-based experiences woven into everyday outdoor play. Our educators are trained in various programs to support the mental health of your child and are skilled in working with children who have experienced challenges and trauma. We can also refer to mental health support programs for families if you find yourself in need of assistance. Your child will go on excursions, get involved in the local community and take part in environmental programs to help them become active members of the local community.

Your child must be 3 as at 30 April in the year that you wish for them to commence 3YO Kinder or they must be 4 as at 30 April in the year that you wish for them to commence 4YO Kinder. We recommend joining our waitlist as early as possible to maximise your opportunity of securing your preferred commencement date and days of attendance. Our Kindergarten Programs are approved by the Victorian Government and delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers in accordance with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). Each room in our centre is represented in the design through four native Australian plants (Lilly Pilly, Banksia, Waratah & Wattle). The artwork is located at the front of our centre to make a statement and symbolise our emerging connection with the local community as we begin our journey working towards reconciliation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In my time away from the centre I love to spend time with my family which includes, 3 children, husband and my 2 dogs.
