In the classroom students explore beat, rhythm, pitch, melody and composition through singing, body percussion, movement and sight-reading music. Students also use and learn a variety of instruments including keyboards, guitars, ukuleles, xylophones and percussion. Our in-house performance room grants us opportunities to host a variety of workshops, recitals and masterclasses at our school. Performance Workshops are held throughout the year and cover a different variety of topics and settings and targeted for different age groups and levels. It gives a brilliant opportunity for students to interact and collaborate with other musicians, as well as give them the opportunity to learn by observing other students.

Our classes are built on a foundation of neuro-musical research. Every song and piece of music has been carefully crafted specifically for our program, referencing the latest studies and research into music and it’s relationship with early brain development. Through beat, rhythm, voice, language and melody, your child will learn to sing, play musical instruments, create, share and explore.
Sometimes known as contemporary dance, it originated in the early 20th century and has increased in popularity ever since. Modern dance has been performed on Australian stages since the 1960s and encompasses a wide range of styles and techniques. The Orff approach to music has been incorporated into the Australian school curriculum since the mid 1960’s. Your wee music maker will be school ready having gained the vital  skills in our music classes that they will need in Prep. This includes listening, following instructions, self-regulating their behaviour and understanding classroom etiquette. Sports are important to keep your kids active and physically fit.
